PREVIEW: Rowing competes at OUA Championship this weekend
The Gee-Gees rowing team will be on the water at the Royal Canadian Henley Rowing Course this Friday and Saturday, competing at the 2019 OUA Championships. The Gee-Gees will send team members to compete in 18 events this season.
The Gee-Gees had two fourth-place finishes and one fifth-place finish in 2018 at the conference event, with the lightweight men's doubles and fours events leading the way. uOttawa had seven total crews qualify for A Finals last year, along with ten B Finals appearances.
This year's men's lightweight doubles pairing of Owen Falkenham and Ben Murray have had a strong season. Falkenham will be making his first appearance at the OUA Championship while Murray stroked the men's novice 8 crew last season for uOttawa. Susan Price returns in the women's pairs for the Garnet and Grey following a sixth place finish last season. This year she will be paired with Laura Guy.
