- Ottawa got their season started on a winning note, defeating the Montreal Carabins 3-1 at home. Abygail Moloughney and Viki Harkness scored in their first conference games as Gee-Gees, while Kylie Lalonde added an empty netter.
- Moloughney's goal came shorthanded and the Gee-Gees were a perfect 3-for-3 on the penalty kill.
- The Gee-Gees are enjoying a rather light start to the regular season, with just two games in two weeks.

- Ottawa and Carleton faced each other in the preseason. The Gee-Gees won 6-1.
- Marie-Ève Côté is Carleton's choice goaltender. She faced Ottawa three times in 2021-22, winning two of the matchups.
