WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
-
Although statistically eliminated from playoff contention, the Gee-Gees still have plenty to play as they play two of their final three matches this weekend. With tests against the two teams ahead of them in the standings, Ottawa has a chance to cap off their season with the most wins for the team since 2016-17.
-
Sherbrooke and UQAM are the only teams in the conference that Ottawa has not beaten this season, with a week of rest under their belts, the Gee-Gees have an opportunity secure another big road win on Friday night.
-
The team will celebrate six senior players on Friday, while some may return, each will have their careers and contributions spotlighted. The players being recognized are Avery Hughes, Grace McKale, Alana Leung, Portia Cooper, Michaela Jones, and Trinity Lusan.
-
Alongside the seniors celebrations, the Gee-Gees will honour and celebrate Black History Month in collaboration with the Black Student-Athletes Advocacy Council with a traditional African storytelling performance by Jacqui Du Toit.
