Bio

Peter Daniel Ribbins (born on August 31, 1947) played has a receiver and a defensive back. He began to play football in Kansas City and later was recruited by the Pirates of East Carolina University in Greenville. He then transferred to the University of Ottawa where he played from 1968 to 1971. 

As a Gee-Gee, he was named an all-star each and every year on the team and, in 1970, he was named the top athlete at the University of Ottawa and the most valuable player on the football team. In 1971, he was the number one pick of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Ribbin's best season had to be 1972, when he recorded nine interceptions, including four in one game, that equalled a CFL record that stood until 1990.

Over the course of his career Pete played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, the Hamilton Tiger Cats and the Edmonton Eskimos. In the last year of his football career, he made an appearance in the Grey Cup.
