The Gee-Gees men's basketball team was back on home court to welcome the York Lions on Saturday night.
While York was the first to get on the board, Ottawa had control of the opening 10 minutes taking a 31-17 lead in the fast-paced quarter.
The Gee-Gees slowed down but were still able to build a 47-38 lead by halftime.
Coming out of the half, Ottawa completely shut down York, holding them to only eight points while scoring 26 in the third quarter.
The fourth quarter saw the least number of points scored. The Gee-Gees put the game away at 92-60
Jacques-Mélaine Guemeta scored a game high 24 points while adding 10 rebounds and three steals to his stat line. Ankit Choudhary recorded 15 points, seven rebounds, and five steals while Owen Kenney added 12 points, three blocks, and three rebounds.
Ottawa led the game throughout the board, recording 10 fast break points, 50 rebounds, and 26 points off the Lions 28 turnovers.
The Gee-Gees improve to 4-1 after the win. Next weekend, they are set to take on the Brock Badgers before returning to Ottawa to host the Algoma Thunderbirds.
