- Ottawa needed a bonus point win versus Concordia to secure a home playoff game, and they got just that last week, winning 36-29 over the Stingers. It was the first time the Gee-Gees had ever beaten Concordia.
- This is the first home playoff game in program history. Ottawa is 0-2 in their previous playoff matchups.
- The Gee-Gees current five-game winning streak is the longest in program history.
ÉTS GAME NOTES
- Major stat leaders
- Tries: Éloi Pinon – 6
- Converts: Tom Saurin – 19
- Penalties: Tom Saurin – 5
- This has been the most successful season for the Piranhas program. This is just their second semifinal game in program history – their last was a 48-0 loss to McGill in 2005.
- ÉTS started the season on a four-game winning streak with key victories against Bishop's and Concordia.
- Tom Saurin finished tied for the conference lead in scoring with McGill's Monty Weatherall. Saurin put up 63 points (two tries, 19 converts, five penalties) in just five games. He was held pointless by the Gee-Gees during their matchup earlier in October.
