The Gee-Gees women's hockey team closed out the season with a 15-11 record, earning them second place in the OUA East. This gave them a first-round bye, allowing them plenty of time to prepare for a series against the Varsity Blues.
"We loved our response in our last game against Toronto," said Ottawa head coach, Alison Domenico, "As we head into this series we want to build on that momentum, dictate the pace and take full advantage of the opportunity in front of us."
