Bio
Glynne Turner was a member of the inaugural Gee-Gees women's basketball team in 1970-71 and became a valued leader for the new program. A graduate of Gloucester High School who had proven herself on the high school courts, she helped that first Gee-Gees team capture the 1971 Ottawa Ladies Basketball League Championship.
As she completed her undergrad and then a Master's degree, she played five seasons with the Gee-Gees and became a core member of a tight-knit team. A forward, Turner was second on the team and sixth in the OWIAA East Division with 100 points in 10 games in 1972-73. She was part of the 1974 bronze and 1975 OWIAA silver medal-winning teams and memorably scored 14 points to help upset Western in the 1975 OWIAA semi-final. Her defensive presence and rebounding prowess were key elements of her game throughout her Gee-Gees career.
