- Ottawa made a statement in their season opener, besting the Concordia Stingers by a 59-6 score. Claire Gallagher accounted for 21 points (one try, eight converts) and Ketsia Kamba scored three tries.
- Kamba earned Gee-Gees Athlete of the Week honours for her three tries. She now ranks second in the conference in tries, remarkable considering she entered last week's matchup with just one career try.
- The Gee-Gees ended Montreal's season in 2021, defeating them in the RSEQ semifinal while clinching a spot at the U SPORTS National Championship.
