The class of Canadian university women's soccer will do battle at Matt Anthony Field Saturday afternoon in Ottawa, as the third-ranked Gee-Gees take on the eighth-ranked Queen's Gaels.
The winner of the match earns a spot in the OUA Championship Game and the 2021 U SPORTS National Championship, held at Cape Breton University. The loser sees their promising season come to an end.
OTTAWA GAME NOTES

- Goals: Emma Lefebvre – 12
- Assists: Sadie Sider-Echenberg – 4
- The Gee-Gees qualified for the semi-finals by beating the Rams 2-0 in the quarterfinals. Angelina Gendreau and Cassandra Provost got the goals in a stop-start, physical match.
- Ottawa has had tough luck against Queen's in playoffs, losing to the Gaels in 2016 and 2017. Both of those matches were at Richardson Stadium in Kingston, Ont.
- The teams played a thriller in October, with a dramatic Gendreau strike in second half stoppage time winning the game for Ottawa.

QUEEN'S GAME NOTES

- Assists: Raya Athwal and Hannah Melchoirre – 4
- The Gaels notched their spot in the semi-final with a 2-0 win over Guelph. Jenna Matsukubo and Jenna Leslie scored inside the first eight minutes.
- The two top goal scorers in the conference will be playing Saturday afternoon; Lefebvre had 12 goals and Christie Gray had 10 during the regular season.
- No player on the Queen's roster have defeated the Gee-Gees at Matt Anthony Field.
