Bio

A four-year Gee-Gee, Mylène Camu was also a member of the founding team in 1977-78. She holds the distinction of being the first Gee-Gees volleyball team Most Valuable Player thanks to her excellent play in that first season. Camu, who also represented Canada from 1979-1983, was a key member of the OWIAA Championship-winning teams in 1980 and 1981 and also holds both of Ottawa’s national championship medals from those years. She was named the MVP of the 1980 CIAU Championship tournament. Camu has also continued her career in volleyball as the co-owner of the volleyball and sportswear company Canuck Stuff. She also is a co-founder of the Canuck Stuff Volleyball Club in Calgary and the associated Volleydome facility.
