J-P Cimankinda finished the regular season with 976 yards, placing himself second in program history in rushing yards in a season, falling just short of Mike Murphy's 1,060 in 1976. In week one against the Lancers, Cimankinda rushed for 125 yards.

Windsor earned a home 39-11 home win over Waterloo last week to earn their fourth win and punch their ticket to the playoffs. By virtue of their win over Toronto earlier in the season, the Lancers won the tiebreaker to finish seventh and matchup with Ottawa.

This will mark the first game the Gee-Gees have played at Gee-Gees Field since November 2019. Due to ongoing construction at Lees Campus, the Gee-Gees have played at TD Place, which is unavailable on Saturday due to scheduling conflicts.
