- Ottawa swept their homestand with RMC and Queen's last weekend. Anthony Poulin had a good weekend, setting up both game-winning goals while recording four total points (one goal, three assists).
- Jean-Philippe Tourigny and Christian Sbaraglia split time between the pipes during the homestand. The latter improved his record to 3-0-0 while making 27 saves against Queen's.
- Gee-Gees men's hockey alumni will gather for the Saturday matchup. Alumni from the Gee-Gees and Ravens will play a game at the Minto Sports Complex earlier in the day, with many remaining at the rink to take in Ottawa-Carleton affair that evening.

- Despite their loss to Ottawa last weekend, Queen's gave the Gee-Gees something to think about, scoring a pair of late third period goals to make things interesting.
- Queen's leading goal scorer, Jonathan Yantsis, did not play against the Gee-Gees. The forward had a tremendous 2021-22 season, putting up 26 points in 19 games.
- The usually defensively-sound Gaels have had issues this year. Neither Anthony Popovich nor Luke Richardson have save percentages above .900.

- Parker Aucoin leads the country in goals. Seven of his 14 goals were scored on the opening weekend. The Ravens are 0-1-3 in games in which Aucoin doesn't score.
