OTTAWA GAME NOTES
- Major Stat Leaders
- Tries: Alexandra Ondo – 9
- Converts: Claire Gallagher – 20
- The winner of this matchup secures a spot in the RSEQ Final and a berth at the 2021 U SPORTS Women's Rugby National Championship, hosted by Queen's University.
- Ottawa earned a first round playoff bye for finishing second in Section A of the RSEQ. This is the second straight year they finished second behind Laval, although that didn't stop them from winning the RSEQ Championship in 2019.
- Gallagher's 64 total points and Ondo's nine tries both lead the RSEQ.
- The Gee-Gees are putting their streak of six straight conference titles on the line. Their last playoff loss came on Oct. 19, 2013 at McGill.
- This is the first home night game of the season for uOttawa.
MONTRÉAL GAME NOTES
- Major Stat Leaders
- Tries: Valérie Langevin – 7
- Converts: Pauline Moussa – 12
- The Carabins defeated the Sherbrooke Vert & Or 44-5 in their quarterfinal matchup. In fact, both Section B teams topped their Section A opponents, with Carleton besting Concordia.
- Montréal finished first Section B with a 5-1 record. They halved their season series with Carleton, but earned first by outscoring the Ravens over both matches.
- Les Bleues and the Gee-Gees haven't played since 2018, as Sections A and B don't crossover during the regular season. Montréal made the playoffs in 2019, but lost their quarterfinal matchup.
- The Laval Rouge & Or and Carleton Ravens are facing off in the other semi-final. It is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 30 in Quebec City.
