A spot in the U SPORTS National Championship gold medal game is on the line Friday in Kingston, as the uOttawa Gee-Gees and the University of Victoria Vikes square off a semi-final matchup.
The winner will advance to the gold medal game, held on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 3:30 p.m. The loser will move to the bronze medal match, held earlier that day at 12:30 p.m. The other semi-final features the RSEQ Champion Laval Rouge & Or and the host Queen's Gaels.

- Ottawa had no trouble in their quarterfinal match, defeating StFX 40-12 in the first game of the tournament. The Gee-Gees hopped out to a 17-0 lead inside the first 15 minutes and never looked back.
- Forty are the most points Ottawa has put up in a single National Championship game since beating Acadia 65-5 in the 2017 quarterfinal, en route to the national title.
- This is the seventh straight championship in which the Gee-Gees have won their opening match.

VICTORIA GAME NOTES

- Victoria defeated the Guelph Gryphons 21-10 in their quarterfinal matchup. The game was tight down the stretch, but a late try from Soleil Brooks sealed the win.
- Wednesday's victory was the program's first quarterfinal win at the U SPORTS National Championship. This is their sixth appearance.
- The Vikes finished second in Canada West during the regular season with a 3-2 record and lost to UBC in the Final.
