Equestrian
Gee-Gees Equestrian, founded in 2003, remains the most well-established collegiate riding program in Canada. Our team philosophy emphasizes horsemanship, opportunity, community and teamwork. Gee-Gees Equestrian is an active member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association's (IHSA) Zone 2 Region 2 and the Ontario Collegiate Equestrian Association's (OCEA) East Zone. The team trains at Wesley Clover Parks with coach Aimee Aubin and welcomes riders of any level to tryout for the team.
Collegiate riding competitions are based on “catch riding,” with riders drawing a horse provided by the host school. Riders accumulate points in their respective classes for their individual standing and for the team. The Gee-Gees Equestrian Team has had riders advance and compete with success at Regionals, Zones, and National Championships.
