GAME OVERVIEW:
There wasn't much to separate the Gee-Gees and the Lancers in their two meetings last season, both of which ended in Ottawa wins. In fact, it was only six points that separated the teams, in the first meeting it was Campbell Fair game winning field goal that gave the Gee-Gees the win, in the playoffs Ottawa battled back from a deficit to secure the 43-40 win.
Coming into 2023, Windsor has taken off to a 3-0 start, with wins over McMaster, Guelph, and Waterloo. Saturday's matchup will prove a chance for the Lancers to exact some revenge on the team that dashed their playoff hopes last season.
For the Gee-Gees, sitting at 2-0 coming off a bye, the team has used two weeks of prep to prepare for what will be an early marquee matchup between nationally ranked opponents. A stingy defence and a powerful rushing attack will be the recipe for Ottawa, as they look to log a key win early in the season.
