GAME NOTES:
- The Gee-Gees football team will look to bounce back from a home loss to the Queen's with a trip to Southwestern Ontario to take on the nationally sixth-ranked Windsor Lancers.
- The two squads have had exciting matchups in the previous two seasons, with the Gee-Gees defeating the Lancers 19-16 in their home opener in 2022, later that year, Ottawa ended Windsor's season 43-40 in the OUA quarterfinals. In 2023, the Lancers came away victorious 42-31, with the Gee-Gees being down by only four points late in the fourth quarter.
- With an early bye week, Windsor has played three times. First earning a key 25-21 win over Queen's, before sneaking by Carleton 18-15 on a last-second 55-yard field goal. The Lancers flexed their muscles in a 29-0 win over York last week.
- Both teams stack up fairly similarly on both sides of the ball. Offensively, both teams are middle of the pack in yards per game with 381.7 for Windsor and 316.8 for Ottawa. On defence, Ottawa (309.5) and Windsor (260.7) give up the fewest yards per game in the conference.
