FOURTH YEAR (2022-23)

Appeared in fourth U SPORTS Championship, placing fifth in the 200m butterfly with a time of 2:06.22… Earned three RSEQ medals, gold in the 200m butterfly and silver in the 200m medley relay and 800m freestyle relay. 

THIRD YEAR (2021-22)

Appeared in third U SPORTS Championship… Earned the RSEQ gold medal in the 400m medley with a time of 4:23.18… Swam personal best of 24.82 in the 50m freestyle to place third in the uOttawa Carleton Dual Meet (Feb. 22).  

SEASON CANCELLED (2020-21)

Season cancelled due to COVID-19 Pandemic. Did not impact eligibility.

BEFORE THE GEE-GEES (REGINA)

SECOND YEAR (2019-20)

Made second U SPORTS Championship appearance, placing sixth in the 200m butterfly with a time of 2:05.25… Placed fourth in the 800m freestyle relay at the 2019 Canada West Championships

FIRST YEAR (2018-19)

Made first U SPORTS Championship appearance, placing sixth in the 400m medley… 

BEFORE UNIVERSITY 

Van Herk competed with the Blenheim Blast before joining the Cougars… Had two fourth place finishes at the 2018 Ontario Summer Provincial Championships. 

2022-2023 RSEQ Medals:

Silver - 200m medley relay (with Judson Nickerson, Noah Wagner, James Steele)

Silver - 800m freestyle relay (with Louis Bertrand, Colin Shearer, Nathan Beaudin-Bolduc)

Gold - 200m fly (2:01.2)

2021-2022 RSEQ Medals:

Gold - 400m individual medley (4:23.18)
