The Gee-Gees women's hockey team earned a 3-2 win over the U SPORTS tenth-ranked Bishop's Gaiters to close the RSEQ regular season on Friday night.
After a stalemate through the first period, Bishop's opened the scoring in the second on a Maude Pépin goal late in the second frame.
In the third period, the Gee-Gees offence exploded with three goals as Florence Lessard got Ottawa on the board with a breakaway snipe. Senior forward Alexe Clavelle put the Gee-Gees in control scoring consecutively to put her team in front 3-1.
Despite a late push brining the score back within one, the Gee-Gees were able to close out the win over the national-ranked Gaiters.
