Bio

Alan Scanlon was a noted halfback, receiver, and special teams returner who played for the Gee-Gees from 1963-1967. Scanlon was a member of the OIFC championship team in 1965 which went 8-0 and also won the OSLAA banner.

During his time at uOttawa Scanlon had many feats as he led the Gee-Gees in receiving yards three times, in 1963, 1964, and 1967. He was also rewarded for his leadership as he was a Gee-Gees co-captain and OIFC all-star for three years from 1965 and 1967. uOttawa won the OSLAA championship four times during Scanlon’s career.

He was drafted in the first round of the 1967 CFL Draft, third overall, by the Hamilton Tiger Cats.
