Bio

Jim Colton was a Buffalo, NY native who played quarterback for the Gee-Gees from 1972-1975, winning the Vanier Cup in ‘75.

Colton led the historic 1975 Gee-Gees to a perfect 11-0 season with the help of then head coach Don Gilbert. He was named an OUAA All-Star for his dominant seasons in 1974 and 1975 as a player with the Gee-Gees. Despite his talent, he remained ineligible to be drafted in the CFL due to his American roots.

Still, after his playing career in university came to an end, Colton joined the Gee-Gees coaching staff as an assistant from 1976-1980 and again for a second stint in the mid 80’s.
