Bio

Norman Sheahan never left the field of play as a two-way player for the Matt Anthony teams of the mid-1950s. His level of enthusiasm and intensity made him a valuable member of the uOttawa football organization as both an athlete and a coach.

He was a standout at both the offensive and defensive line, so much so that he was named the team’s most outstanding linesman in both 1954 and 1955. He was one of the players who take part in the first Panda game in 1955. He coached the Gee-Gees lines from 1958-1962 following his playing days. His coaching career was also of note at the Ottawa high school level, winning three city championships and earning the title of best high school coach in 1961.
