Bio
In 1971, Paul Kilger, a defensive tackle with the University of East Tennesse, decided to return to his native Canada to play with the uOttawa. From 1971 to 1975, he became a standout defensive tackle with the Gee-Gees for five seasons.
During his university career, Kilger was an Ontario University Athletic Association All-Star four times and was named an all-Canadian in 1971 and in 1975. In his final year, he was selected as the OQIFC`s nominee for the J. P. Metras award in 1975. While playing at U of 0, Paul helped the Gee-Gees reach four Provincial finals and the coveted National Championship, the Vanier Cup, in 1975.
Following his career, Kilger coached the Gee-Gees defensive line under head coach Cam Innes for three years, and was also inducted into the Cornwall Hall of Fame in 2002.
