National Top Ten Update: Garnet and Grey ranked in four sports

The Gee-Gees have four ranked teams in the U SPORTS Top Tens this week as the winter season enters crunch time. The women's basketball team continues to be the highest ranked squad, staying at number three this week.
That no. 3 ranking has been earned with a 15-2 regular season record and the nation's second highest scoring average at 80.2 points per game. The uOttawa squad has a third consecutive weekend with at Top Ten matchup as the team heads to no. 9 Windsor (13-3) this Friday and no. 7 Western (15-2) on Saturday. The Gee-Gees have won the last two top ten matchups this month taking down Ryerson, 74-72, in Toronto and Queen's, 81-71, at Montpetit Hall.
In men's basketball the Gee-Gees are ranked no. 6 this week. With a regular season record of 13-4, the Gee-Gees are on the road again this week heading to Windsor (8-8) and Western (13-4) with the Mustangs on the edge of being ranked this week. Ottawa leads the OUA in steals per game and offensive rebounds per game.
The men's swimming team heads into this weekend's RSEQ Championships tied for the no. 5 ranking in the nation. The team is tied with Toronto, last year's national bronze medallists, and is the second-highest ranked RSEQ team in the Top Ten. However, the team won the most recent RSEQ Cup event; this weekend should be a big one for the team at the conference championships.
The women's swimming team holds no. 9 this week, with no change in the national rankings. At the 2019 conference championships the Gee-Gees placed second in the women's standings and five-time medal winner Delphine Vandal returns for her final league meet alongside Lauren Shearer and Adelle Yamashita-Ball who also earned individual conference medals last season.
