- The Gee-Gees get to finish out the opening half of the season with three games on home ice. During these games, Ottawa faces a pair of strong OUA West teams including the 14-2 #3 Brock Badgers and 8-7 Guelph Gryphons. To close out 2023, Ottawa welcomes McGill, who currently share a 9-5 record to tie for third in the OUA East.

- This is the first meeting between the Redbirds and the Gee-Gees this season. The OUA East teams last met during the 2022-23 playoffs, where McGill swept the Gee-Gees in two games.
- Both the Gee-Gees and Redbirds will be playing to get ahead of the other in the OUA East rankings. McGill struggled in their last meeting with UQTR, who leads the OUA East, falling 11-5 but has collecting wins over UQTR and Queen's earlier in the season.
