OTTAWA GAME NOTES

  • Major stat leaders
  • The Gee-Gees have started the season with four high scoring games, picking up a lopsided loss to Ontario Tech and a lopsided victory over York last weekend.
  • The team will be looking for revenge against the UQTR Patriotes as the team cut their season short in 2023-24. Falling to the Patriotes in a tough game three of the OUA semi-final, the Gee-Gees will look to take down the #2 ranked Patriotes early.
  • Andrew Belchamber has come in and taken charge. The rookie forward has logged six points in four games, earning his first OUA hat trick against York in the Gee-Gees last game.

MCGILL GAME NOTES

  • Major stat leaders
    • Goals: Mathieu Gagnon – 2
    • Assists: Zachary Gallant and Charle Truchon – 2
    • Points: Zachary Gallant – 3
    • Wins : Alexis Shank – 1
  • The Redbirds only have two regular season games played at this point, a win over Nipissing and a loss to Carleton.
  • Last season, McGill fell in their first meeting with Ottawa, but later in the season, took a 5-4 overtime win against the Gee-Gees.

UQTR GAME NOTES

    • Goals: Felix Lafrance – 3
    • Assists: Kaylen Gauthier – 3
    • Points: Felix Lafrance – 5
    • Wins: William Grimard and Charles-Antoine Lavallee – 1
  • The Patriotes are now without their leading scorer, Simon Lafrance. In the OUA semi-final series, Lafrance scored both game winning goals against the Gee-Gees, eliminating Ottawa from the OUA playoffs.
  • UQTR also said goodbye to their starting goaltender, Alexis Gravel, and in their three games, have split playing time between William Grimard and Charles-Antoine Lavallee who have each picked up a win so far.
