- The Gee-Gees are one of three programs in the nation that have yet to lose a game to a U SPORTS opponent. They currently sit a perfect 9-0 though preseason and early regular season play.
- Ottawa currently sports one of the most balanced attacks in the nation, with five different players averaging double-figures in scoring and one more just on the outside with 9.5 points per game.
- Fifth-year transfers Katherine Follis and Tyra Blizzard have paid off greatly for the Gee-Gees so far. Follis (14 pts) and Blizzard (11.5 pts) have become key contributors to the talented Ottawa squad.
- Defensively, the Gee-Gees are causing fits for opponents, ranking first in the OUA in steals (22) and second in points against per game (55.5).

- The Ridgebacks are experiencing expected growing pains of a new program. They are off to a winless start thus far, but will look to continually grow throughout the season.
- The Gee-Gees will be the second Top 10 ranked team that Ontario Tech will take on this season, with a 98-64 loss to #6 Queen's in their home opener, the Ridgebacks will have a tall task this weekend with #2 Ottawa and #4 Carleton coming to town.
- The Ridgebacks' top recruit Bilan Khadar is an Ottawa native and former te and will be taking on her hometown teams for the first time in her Ontario Tech career.

- Ottawa will be the the third Top 10 team the Gaels will face when they do battle on Saturday night. The lone Queen's loss this season was at the hands of the surging ninth-ranked Guelph Gryphons. The Gaels will do battle with #4 Carleton on Friday ahead of their matchup with the Gee-Gees.
- Queen's is a dangerous team from the free throw stripe, as they rank first in the OUA in both attempts (25.5 per game) and amount made per game (15.8).
- The Gaels are a strong shooting squad as they rank second in the OUA in three-point percentage (36.4) as well as rank third in field goal percentage (45.8).
