- The Gee-Gees enter 2020 riding a five game win streak to close the fall semester. Earning a big 66-49 win over nationally-ranked Carleton before the break, Ottawa will resume their push to nationals against familiar foes in Northern Ontario.
- Ottawa has been dominant against Laurentian and Nipissing. The Gee-Gees have downed the Voyageurs in their last 18 meetings dating back to 2011. The Gee-Gees are undefeated against Nipissing, going 11-0 in matchups against the Lakers since their inception to the OUA in 2014.
- The Gee-Gees sit atop the OUA in four notable statistical categories. They lead the conference in points per game (77.9), field goals made per game (29.8), assists per game (17.1), and opponents' field goal percentage (31.4).
- The performances the Gee-Gees have received from their fifth-year seniors this season has been nothing short of amazing. Guard Brooklynn McAlear-Fanus leads the team in points, assists, and rebounds, while forward Katherine Follis leads the OUA in field goal percentage. Guard Tyra Blizzard has been a key all-around threat all season, but her three-point shooting (37 per cent) has been particularity essential for the Gee-Gees.

- Senior guard Kayla Deschatelets has carried a significant load for the Voyageurs this season. Deschatelets leads the OUA in minutes played per game, averaging 37.1. This high-volume has paid off statistically, with Deschatelets sitting amongst the top of the conference in points, assists, and free throws.
- The Gee-Gees will have to be mindful of how active Laurentian is on the defensive glass, as they rank second in the OUA in defensive rebounds per game (29.8).
- The Voyageurs average 16.7 turnovers per game, something Ottawa will look to take advantage of. In their most recent matchup, the Gee-Gees saw Laurentian turn the ball over 20 times, but only were able to turn it into seven points, something they will look to improve on in this outing.

NIPISSING GAME NOTES
- Major Stat Leaders
- Nipissing will look to improve on their tough last outing against the Gee-Gees, which resulted in a 91-44 loss in November. This weekend, the Lakers will be looking for their first win since Nov. 16.
- The Lakers do an outstanding job being disciplined on defence, Nipissing ranks third in the OUA in fouls per game, averaging only 14.5.
- Nipissing has lived and died by the three this season, averaging 28 attempts per game (3rd OUA). In the last meeting between the two teams, the Lakers shot only 3-29, a number they will have to improve if they are to beat the surging Gee-Gees.
