NOVEMBER 15 vs. CARLETON
The Gee-Gees opened the scoring late in the first period, with Sophie Gareau collecting a pass from Mélodie Bouchard then wiring it into the back of the net.
Following a scoreless second period, Carleton answered back in the third period, tying up the contest just 30 seconds into the frame.
Both sides pressured for the go-ahead goal as the minutes ticked away in regulation.
With three minutes remaining in the contest, a delayed penalty was called against the Gee-Gees, and Carleton tried to create a scoring chance before Ottawa could regain possession.
Pressure by an Ottawa attacker forced a Raven to pass backwards to her own defender, but the bouncing puck hopped over her stick before trickling into a wide-open Carleton net. Kate Maclean was credited with the goal for the Gee-Gees.
Carleton was able to score on the power play, forcing overtime.
In the extra frame, Ottawa had the opportunity on the power play. Immediately off the face-off, Bouchard won the draw, passing to Christine Deaudelin. She was quick to dish to Alice Fillion, who promptly buried the puck to win the game.
NOVEMBER 17 vs. CONCORDIA
While Concordia scored on their opening shot of the game, it was the Gee-Gees that controlled play in the opening period, outshooting the top ranked Stingers by a margin of 14-7.
In the second period, Gareau scored on the power play to tie the contest, though Concordia replied with a power play goal of their own minutes later, and extended the lead to 3-1 before the end of the period.
With just five minutes remaining on the clock, Gareau used her speed to finesse past a defender and fired a precise shot into the top corner of the net to cut into the lead.
A Concordia goal just a minute later restored the two-goal lead and prevented the Gee-Gees from completing the comeback

WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
"I felt the team stuck to the game plan [on Friday against Carleton], and continued to fight back. The bench was positive and encouraging, we stuck to our systems and structure, and ultimately that brought us success tonight. … I thought our team played really well, we had great energy and tempo [against Concordia]. We played a great team game by keeping our play simple with the puck. We're obviously disappointed with the overall result today, but there's plenty of positives to take away heading into practice this week, and our next game." — Chelsea Grills, interim head coach
