NOVEMBER 30 at McGILL
The game started well for the Gee-Gees, generating pressure through quick breakouts up the ice and their cycle game in the offensive zone.
While the game remained scoreless through the first period of play, Ottawa outshot McGill by a margin of 9-7.
Late in the second period, momentum shifted in favour of McGill. The Martlets tallied a pair of goals in as many minutes to take the lead. On their first power play of the day, the Martlets scored off the draw, extending the lead to three.
McGill quashed hopes of a comeback in the third period, controlling the play and outshooting the Gee-Gees 14-4 through the final 20 minutes.
Rookie goaltender Aurélie Dubuc stopped 27 of 30 shots she faced in the game.
