JANUARY 9 vs. Carleton
In the opening moments of the game, Carleton tested goaltender Aurélie Dubuc early and often with a number of shots on goal. The Ravens broke through to open the scoring with three minutes remaining in the first period.
Ottawa answered back in the second period, as they battled in search of an equalizing goal.
A number of power plays allowed the Gee-Gees to set-up in the offensive zone. While they outshot their opponents by a margin of 8-3 in the second period, none found the back of the net.
Carleton scored midway through the third period to extend their lead to 2-0.
The Gee-Gees called timeout to draw up a play with four minutes remaining on the clock and on the power play, then pulled the goaltender for the extra attacker, but were unable to break the shutout.
