- The Gee-Gees got back to their winning ways last week, defeating the Bishop's Gaiters and the nationally-ranked Montreal Carabins in shootouts. Netminders Aurélie Dubuc and Mahika Sarrazin were stellar in their respective outings, with Sarrazin recording a career-high 38 saves.
- Approaching the holiday break, Abygail Moloughney finds herself tied for the conference lead in points and one back of Montreal's Audrey-Anne Veillette for the lead in goals.
- Meanwhile, Jade Todd has rocketed to the conference lead in assists.
- As the 2022 calendar year draws to a close, the Gee-Gees have 11 wins, eight losses and two overtime losses during the span. They've scored 46 goals and allowed 42.

- McGill's difficult start to the season continued last week, losing 5-1 to Montreal and 6-0 to Concordia.
- The Martlets showed signs of life the weekend prior, losing two one-goal affairs to Bishop's and Carleton. The former matchup was decided in overtime, earning McGill their first point of the season.
- Special teams have been a struggle for McGill this year. Their powerplay (7.3 percent) is fourth-last in the country, while their penalty kill (71.9 percent) is third-last.
