During his time with the Gee-Gees, Bowles has had the opportunity to coach at the international level with the Canadian Universiade women’s hockey teams. Most recently, he was named the head coach of the 2023 squad for the Winter World University Games in Lake Placid (Jan. 12-23), guiding the team to a gold medal performance. He was also named to the staffs as an assistant coach during the 2019 and 2021 editions of the tournament, and attended the Hockey Canada summer showcase with the U SPORTS All-Stars in 2018 and 2019 – a tournament-style event featuring teams from France, Japan, Russia and Canada.

Bowles holds his Hockey Canada High Performance Certification and has coached for over 20 years. He was an assistant coach with the Nepean Jr Wildcats in 2013-14, winning the regular season title along with both the playoff and provincial bronze medals. The team also set a PWHL record for most wins/points in league history (38GP, 32W-3L-2T-1OTL, 67 pts). The following year he assumed the Head Coach position with the Nepean Midget AA program amassing a record of 78-37-19 (351GF/201GA) over 134 games. The team was Regular Season Champions and ODWHA finalist in 2015 before ultimately winning the Championship title in 2016. Bowles was named the head coach of the DIFD All-Star Team in both years.

Greg is also co-founder of the Complete Hockey Development Centre (CHDC) in 2011 and the Complete Goaltending Development (CGD) goalie academy in 2008. He has led the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) talent identification draft combine (Ottawa, July 2015) and led private summer training sessions for numerous athletes including members of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL), OWHA U16 Ontario Winter Games (OWG) and High Performance Programs, OWHA Canada Games Provincial Teams (Red / Blue) as well as members of the Hockey Canada U18 and National Women’s Teams.
