RECAP: #4 Gee-Gees extend win streak to four at #7 Concordia
The Gee-Gees women's rugby team extended their win streak to four on Saturday afternoon, defeating the Concordia Stingers 38-10 in Montreal.
Led by a three try effort from Ketsia Kamba, the Gee-Gees pulled away from the Stingers early and never looked back. At the half, the Ottawa defence held Concordia off the scoreboard eventually amassing 24 unanswered points before the Stingers hit a penalty kick.
Kamba put the exclamation point on the win with Ottawa's two final scores of the day in the 59th and 77th minute.
Tylo Borsboom also had two tries on the afternoon, while Leigha Stiles added one. Jamie Lee Walker had a strong day at the office in the kicking game, converting four tries.
The Gee-Gees defensive effort was stout once again, holding the Stingers to only 10 points after averaging nearly 50 points per game coming into the matchup.
Up next, the Gee-Gees will take to the road to close the regular season with a matchup against the Bishop's Gaiters (0-5) in Lennoxville, QC next Sunday. Action at Coulter Field will get underway at 1 p.m.
