RECAP: #4 women’s rugby set to host RSEQ semi-final after win over Bishop’s
The Gee-Gees closed out the regular season with a dominant 69-0 win over the Bishop's University Gaiters on Sunday afternoon.
Ottawa proved their strength once again, marching their way down Coulter Field time and time again, scoring 11 tries on the day.
Ketsia Kamba had a three try effort for the Gee-Gees, leading the team with nine tries throughout the 2023 regular season. Emma Wade added a pair of tries, earning both Ottawa's first and last tries of the afternoon.
The ball was spread across the field as Ella Blyth, Tylo Borsboom, Alysia Comtois, Farida Elsharkawy, Taelor Hendrick, and Leigha Stiles all contributed tries for Ottawa.
Aurora Bowie was responsible for kicking, earning seven successful converts throughout the game.
The win cements the Gee-Gees (5-1) rights to host their RSEQ semi-final matchup, where they will welcome the Concordia Stingers (4-2) for a battle to earn a place in the RSEQ Championship and of course, the U SPORTS National Championship tournament at the Université Laval.
The game is slated for Saturday, Oct. 14 on Matt Anthony Field. Tickets for the pivotal matchup will be available at https://teams.geegees.ca/tickets.
