OTTAWA GAME NOTES
- Major Stat Leaders
- Goals: Emma Lefebvre – 5
- Assists: Nibo Dlamini and Soumaya Bouak – 2
- The Gee-Gees have been impressive in their first three games, winning by a combined score of 14-1. Ottawa's 14 goals makes them the most potent offence in the conference.
- Emma Lefebvre's five goals leads the OUA. She now has 29 career regular season goals as a Gee-Gee. Just five players in program history have reached the 30-goal plateau (Pilar Khoury, Julia Francki, Valerie May, Courtney Luscombe and Isabelle Lessard).
- Rookie Nibo Dlamini has two goals and two assists while starting each of the team's games thus far.
- Not to be outdone, first-year defender Maya Smith should be receiving OUA Rookie of the Year consideration. Smith has been one of a number of stalwart players at the back for Ottawa.
CARLETON GAME NOTES
- Major Stat Leaders
- Goals: Chloe Dohery – 3
- Assists: None
- Despite their 1-2-1 record, Carleton has shown off good squad depth this season. Six different players have found the back of the net through four matches.
- The Ravens scored nine goals in 2019. They've already scored nine goals through four games in 2021.
- Carleton's issue has been defensively. The team ranks fifth in the OUA in goals-per-game, but 14th in goals-against-per-game.
