Angelina Gendreau was involved in five of the team's seven goals as the third-ranked Gee-Gees women's soccer team grounded the Carleton Ravens in their home-and-home over rivalry weekend.
Thursday's match ended in a 3-0 decision for the Gee-Gees at home, while Sunday's match at TAAG Park was a 4-0 result for Ottawa.
"It was a great performance, one of the best of the season," raved Gee-Gees head coach Steve Johnson of the Sunday afternoon affair. "We controlled the ball and controlled the game. I like how we created a number of really good opportunities during the run of play."
Gendreau, a fourth year Human Kinetics student from Lancaster, Ont., converted a penalty on Thursday for the team's second goal. Eva Bouity's shot was destined for the net, but a Ravens defender deliberately cleared it off the line with her hands, setting up the Gendreau penalty kick.
Adriane Devlin got the goal scoring started, while a late strike from outside the box by Allana Oriente rounded out a sound 3-0 victory.

Gendreau then scored once and added three assists in the Sunday match. Her goal came in the 40th minute off a smart flick on by Cassandra Provost.
"I saw that men's rugby, women's rugby and football teams won too," said Gendreau when asked about Ottawa performance on rivalry weekend. "5-0 for the Gee-Gees is great. Everything was working well today, and it was against Carleton – there's always a push to beat them."
Provost, Olivia Allen and Maya Smith added to the goal total for Ottawa. It was Smith's first goal of her Gee-Gees career and came off a well-delivered corner kick by Gendreau.
Despite scoring just once over the weekend, Provost continues to lead the country in goals with 11. Danielle Steer of UBC is one back, while Seema Sakran's eight is Provost's nearest Ontario-based challenger.
Juliann Lacasse played the full 90 minutes Thursday, while Cassidy Joslin was the goalkeeper of choice Sunday.
Based on results elsewhere in the conference, Ottawa now sits in first place in the OUA East with a 7-1-1 record and 22 points. Toronto is four points back with a game in hand, while Queen's is five points back with two games in hand. The top two finishers in the division earn first-round byes.
The Gee-Gees play at home next weekend, welcoming Ontario Tech (1-5-2, 8th in OUA East) and Laurentian (1-4-1, 9th in OUA East) on Friday, Oct. 7 and Sunday, Oct. 9, respectively. Tickets for the matches are on sale at tickets.geegees.ca.
