NEWS : Tristan Peterson named to RSEQ All-Star Team
The RSEQ conference announced its All-Stars and Award Winners for the 2021-2022 women's volleyball season on Friday, with Ottawa's veteran left side attacker Tristan Peterson selected for honours.
Tristan Peterson was named an RSEQ All-Star for the first time in her career, taking her spot on the conference Second Team. She recorded a career high of 2.87 kills per set in 2021-22 to lead the Gee-Gees attack. Her points per set average of 3.3 was also the team lead and a career high.
"It should never be forgotten that Tristan lost two seasons due to major hip surgery and worked through all the challenges to not only return to the court with her team mates in 2021-22, but also lead the team as a co-captain," says Gee-Gees head coach Lionel Woods.
"Getting back to play was one thing, getting back and performing at an all-star level is a whole other achievement. We are all very proud of Tristan!"
Peterson's kills per set and points per set also ranked seventh and tenth in the conference, respectively.
