Bio

Born in Sudbury, Ontario, Lenny Sabourin currently works as Manager of Fitness and Instructional Programs for uOttawa’s Sports Services in addition to his coaching duties.

With many years of experience with the Gee-Gees volleyball program, Sabourin is a certified kinesiologist and certified personal trainer, enabling him to bring many different skills to the team. Aside from volleyball, Sabourin has also coached Greco-Roman wrestling. From 1991 to 1994 he coached the Gladiator Wrestling Club in Elliot Lake, Ont..

As a player, Sabourin was team captain of a men’s volleyball team from 1996-1997 in Elliott Lake and practiced competitive Greco-Roman wrestling at provincial and national levels from 1989 to 1994. Sabourin’s sports interests include volleyball, tennis, squash, snowboarding, and weight training. He also plays drums and guitar.

Sabourin holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa.
