Bio

Born in Auburn, Maine, Bob sported #23 from 1954 to 1956 as a quarterback and halfback at the University of Ottawa. It was during these years that Bob played in the first two Panda Games (1955 and 1956).

Bob received his BEP from uOttawa in 1957 and his MPhys Ed and PHD from Springfield College in 1959 and 1980 respectively. From 1951 to 1961, Bob was a teacher and coach of both football and basketball at the University of Ottawa High School. In 1962, Bob became Athletic Director at the University of Ottawa and held the post until 1970. During his tenure as AD, he also served as head coach of the men's basketball program for three seasons.

For the next 26 years, Bob enjoyed being a full-time professor in the department of Physical Education. He has been a part of sports at the U of O for over 50 years.
