Bio

Paul Paddon played for the uOttawa football team from 1967 to 1970. He was the first Gee-Gee to win the Hec Creighton Trophy in 1970 awarded to the most outstanding player in the CIS and was a CIS All-Canadian and an OUAA All-star. He led the 1970 team to a College Bowl appearance after capturing the Atlantic Bowl, leading the CCIFC in passing yards (1209), pass completion (74/133, .556), and passing touchdowns (13). He also handled the punting duties for the Gee-Gees.

Born in St. Thomas, Ont., Paddon was raised in Ottawa. He played for Lisgar Collegiate in Ottawa before heading to Lenoir Rhyne University in Hickory, N.C. for one year before joining the Gee-Gees. Paddon studied physical education at uOttawa. Paddon was 23 years old, 5-10 and 185 pounds when he guided the Gee-Gees to the national championship game in 1970.
