Bio

Pierre attended Plantagenet High School, but with no football program available was forced to pursue the Quebec Intermediate League which had no age limit. Pierre passed on scholarship offers to attend the University of Ottawa, where over a four year career as an offensive guard and defensive tackle, he earned two top Canadian lineman nominations and was a perennial all-star.

After graduating from uOttawa, Pierre turned down a contract offer from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and instead pursued further degrees at Queen's University, helping them to a Yates Cup win in 1970.  He taught for two years at Plantagenet High School, where he coached football, wrestling, skiing and cross country, followed by a 26 year teaching career at UQTR.

After retirement in 2002, Pierre remained physically active by competing in 22 Triathlons, 28 Marathons & 25 gold bars as a Coureur des Bois in the Canadian ski marathon. Like many other Gee-Gees, he remembers his years at uOttawa as the happiest of his life.
