WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
-
Ottawa will face two OUA West foes that the team has not played since the 2019-20 season. Western enters the winners of four straight, following losses to Windsor and Laurier to open their season. Windsor is 6-0 to start the year and are notably missing from the U SPORTS Top 10.
-
Western's Aryan Sharma leads the OUA in scoring, while Windsor's Thomas Kennedy is ranked third. The pair will be strong tests for Ottawa as they look find their way back to the win column after a narrow loss to Lakehead last weekend.
-
Rebounding will be a key priority for the Gee-Gees against Windsor, as the Lancers currently lead the OUA in rebounds per game with 47.8.
-
Saturday's game marks the Gee-Gees Think Pink efforts in support of U SPORTS' annual Shoot for the Cure initiative. One dollar from each ticket will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. A raffle and other fundraising efforts will also be underway at Montpetit Hall in support of the cause.
