The Ottawa Gee-Gees men's basketball team kicked off their OUA regular season with two victories, defeating the Windsor Lancers 85-65 on Friday night and the Western Mustangs 86-81 on Saturday at Montpetit Hall.
Against Windsor, third-year forward Justin Ndjock-Tadjore led the way with 20 points, shooting 5-of-8 from the field. Brock Newton contributed 17 points, while Ankit Choudhary added 11 points and three assists. The Gee-Gees capitalized on Windsor's 20 turnovers, turning them into 24 points.
On Saturday, Ottawa faced a tough early season challenge against Western. In a back-and-forth affair, both teams exchanged leads throughout. Western held as much as a 10-point lead in the second quarter before Ottawa's second half comeback that was spurred by Choudhary's hot shooting.
Choudhary finished with 29 points on 11-of-18 shooting, including 7-of-10 from beyond the arc. Ndjock-Tadjore added 20 points and nine rebounds, while Jacques-Mélaine Guemeta contributed 23 points. Off the bench, Matthew Smith posted an outstanding defensive effort with seven blocks on the night.

The Gee-Gees will be in Waterloo for matchups with the Laurier Golden Hawks and the Waterloo Warriors on Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and 6 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on OUA.tv.
