Michael is a second-year medical student who has been playing golf since the age of 8. Prior to joining the Gee-Gees golf team in 2017, he played golf for McGill (four years) and Queen’s (one year). At McGill, he helped the golf team qualify for the 2013 Canadian University/College Championship and win the 2013 ETS Match Play, which was McGill’s first victory in six decades. At Queen’s, he helped the Gaels’ win five of seven events during the 2016-17 OUA season, and he won the 2016 Queen’s Invitational Golf Tournament. During his two seasons with the Gee-Gees golf team, Michael competed in five NCAA events and registered two top-20 finishes. He was also named team captain for the 2018-19 season.

Outside of competitive golf, Michael enjoys playing hockey (recreationally) and squash (competitively). He is also involved in medical research, and he is the chair of the junior committee at the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club.
