WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
"I don't think you necessarily change your game plan inside-out because of the size of the rink but it definitely has an impact on certain elements of our planning. There is more open ice but there is further distance from the net, sometimes on these ice surfaces you get comfortable staying on the outside. … These are teams we don't face too often, but we're able to prescout and see what their tendencies are. But we'll be more focused on what we bring than what they do. So hopefully we come out firing, and with a lot of speed. Rhat's our main goal: coming out with our identity and using a lot of speed against these two teams." — Patrick Grandmaître, Head Coach.

WATERLOO GAME NOTES
- Major Stat Leaders

- Goals: Nick Chyzowski and Alex Pawelcyzk — 2
- Assists: Andrew Cordssen-David — 4
- Second-year defenceman Andrew Cordssen-David notched two goals and an assist when he played against the Gee-Gees in their only meeting last season.
- Waterloo generated a season-high 50 shots on goal on two occasions last season: against Ottawa and York. The Warriors lost both games; 5-4 in a shootout to Ottawa, and 5-4 to York.
WHAT THEY'RE SAYING
"Contrary to our Friday game, this Saturday game is in a smaller rink. Flip my comments around, it's a shorter distance to the net, so it's a better opportunity to use our speed, get pucks on net and go for rebounds. Usually games in there are pretty intense; players are in your face all the time. It will be interesting to see how our team adjusts from one game to another, but also if we are able to impose our rhythm and our identity against them." — Patrick Grandmaître, Head Coach.
