- The Gee-Gees enter the game well rested; their matchup with the UQTR Patriotes that was scheduled for Saturday, November 2 was cancelled due to a massive power outage in Trois-Rivières. They will not have played a game in 13 days when the puck drops Saturday.
- Ottawa enters the game on a two-game losing streak. The last time they lost two straight games in regulation was the first weekend of 2018 when they dropped consecutive matchups to McGill and Concordia.
- Kevin Domingue and Cody Drover are trying to become the first Ottawa players to reach the 100-point plateau since the program was re-established in 2016. Domingue is sitting on 99 career points (55 goals, 44 assists) in 91 games as a Gee-Gee, while Drover has 98 points (29 goals, 69 assists) in 90 games.

- Louis-Philip Guindon is second in the OUA with a .942 save percentage. He steered aside 56 of the 58 shots he faced the last time McGill played the Gee-Gees.
