- The Stingers are the only team the Gee-Gees haven't beaten in 2022-23. Ottawa came within seconds of taking the defending National Championships to a shootout on Nov. 4, losing 3-2 in double overtime.
- Katherine Birkby, Abygail Moloughney, Ariane Minville and Alyssa Biesenthal stayed busy during the holiday break, participating in the PWHPA All-Star Skills Competition on Dec. 11 at the Canadian Tire Centre.
- This will be the last weekend Aurélie Dubuc is available to the team before leaving to represent Canada at the 2023 Winter Universiade in Lake Placid, N.Y. Gee-Gees assistant coach Greg Bowles is serving as Canadian head coach.

- Concordia had to work for it in their final game before the holiday break, needing a furious last-minute comeback before ultimately winning in a shootout against Montreal.
- The Stingers actually own the conference's second lowest save percentage at .910. Ottawa has the best in the RSEQ at .935, good for fifth in the country.
- It's a log jam atop the RSEQ standings. The Stingers are first with 20 points, but Ottawa, Montreal and Bishop's each sit one point behind. The Gee-Gees officially occupy second place by virtue of having earned more wins.
