- Assists: Abygail Moloughney and Jade Todd – 7
- Points: Abygail Moloughney – 18
- Wins: Aurélie Dubuc – 5
- The Gee-Gees got off to a rocky start to the 2023 calendar year, falling 5-1 to the second-ranked Concordia Stingers. Four unanswered goals were the difference in a penalty-filled affair.
- Abygail Moloughney now finds herself second in conference goal scoring and third in points.
- Goaltender Aurélie Dubuc and assistant coach Greg Bowles are with the Canadian FISU women's hockey team and will be away from the Gee-Gees this weekend. The FISU tournament gets underway on Jan. 11 in upstate New York, with the gold medal game taking place Jan. 21.
BISHOP'S GAME NOTES
- Major stat leaders
- Goals: Three players tied at 6
- Assists: Maude Pépin – 9
- Points: Maude Pépin – 15
- Wins: Aglaé René de Cotret – 5
- Bishop's also didn't get off to an ideal start to 2023, losing 6-2 to the Carabins.
- The Gaiters have perhaps the most well-balanced lineup scoring wise in the RSEQ, with three players tied for the team lead in goals and Jamie Aspropotamitis one goal back with five.
- While the Gaiters are tied with Ottawa in points, they've conceded nine more goals while playing in the same number of games.
Sunday, January 15, 2023
- The Matchup: Ottawa Gee-Gees (9-4-1, 3rd in RSEQ) at #10 Montréal Carabins (9-2-3, 2nd in RSEQ)
- Location: CEPSUM (Montreal, Que.)
- Puck drop: 2:00 p.m.
- Last meeting: Ottawa 3, Montréal 2 (shootout) – Nov. 27, 2022 at Minto Sports Complex

MONTRÉAL GAME NOTES
- Major stat leaders
- Goals: Audrey-Anne Veillette – 17
- Assists: Jessika Boulanger – 11
- Points: Audrey-Anne Veillette – 21
- Wins: Aube Racine and Maude Desroches – 4
- The Carabins topped the Bishop's Gaiters 6-2 in their first game of 2023, with Audrey-Anne Veillette scoring four goals. Veillette is now the favourite to win conference Player of the Year award, although Concordia's Emmy Fecteau and Ottawa's Abygail Moloughney will have something to say about that.
- Importantly, Veillette will be absent from Sunday's game. She'll join teammates Audrey Gervais and Kelly-Ann Nadeau, and Dubuc and Bowles at the FISU Games. Nadeau and Gervais are important Rearguards for Montréal, appearing in every game this season.
- Ottawa is the only team the Carabins have yet to beat in 2022-23.
